Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long did it take you to write Full Disclosure?
A: Unfortunately, I have a very bad habit of writing more than one book at a time.  I jump back and forth between novels as I write.  If I had to guess, I would say 5-6 months.

Q: When you start a book, do you already have the plot completely outlined?
A
: No, I seldom know what’s going to happen before I write it. In fact, there have been times that even I was surprised how a book ended.  My characters have a habit of writing their own stories.

Q: When did you know you wanted to be a writer?
A: In 2003, a story kept coming to my mind. I decided to start writing it and see if I'd be able to keep the storyline going. I didn’t tell anyone I was writing a book because it seemed like such a lofty idea. When I was almost done, I admitted to my husband what I was doing and gave it to my best friend, Vicki, to read. She and I share all kinds of books, so I told her to be completely honest. When she told me she really liked it, I decided to write a sequel, and I’ve been writing ever since.

Q: What inspires you?
A: I’m not quite sure. I get the most random thoughts and ideas, usually in the early morning hours. I can’t help but think that some of my stories are stories God wanted told.

Q: Who are some of your favorite authors?
A: My favorite, I would have to say is Dee Henderson. I also thoroughly enjoy Karen Kingsbury, Kristen Heitzmann, Lori Wick, Lori Copeland, Rene Gutteridge, and Brandlyn Collins.

Q: What is your favorite book you’ve written?
A: I have several unpublished books at this time and I would have to say my favorite is Reunion. It’s the story of a woman struggling with her mortality.

Q: Do you have other hobbies besides writing?
A: Yes, I love scrapbooking, card making, rubber stamping, and making jewelry. ♥
