Texas Brides by Cathy Marie Hake, is a delightful trilogy wrapped into one book. Following the lives of three brothers fresh from Scotland, you watch as they discover love in a new land. Though the stories were predictable, they were enjoyable none the less. I usually enjoy the drama of a good suspense novel, but once in a while I like to read a book that moves at an easy, carefree pace. Again, pulling on my love for the west, Texas Brides made for a delightful escape at the end of the day.
Note: If you decide to pick up Texas Brides, you might enjoy a Bride for a Bit as well. Co-written by Hake, it too is an enjoyable story set in the old west.♥
